There are a handful of hotels that are located within walking distance from the heart of Draflastadir. The Draflastadir Guesthouse is an ideal choice for that fact that it is a mere 2 miles (3 kilometers) away.
The Hotel Kea by Keahotels is 10 miles (16 kilometers) from central Draflastadir. Alternatively, the Icelandair Hotel Akureyri is about 11 miles (17 kilometers) away. Another option is to make a booking at the Draflastadir Guesthouse or the Skjaldarvik Guest House.
8 miles (13 kilometers) to the southwest of Draflastadir, you'll find Akureyri, which is where you can spend the day enjoying University of Akureyri and Akureyri Church. Akureyri lodgings include the Hotel Nordurland by Keahotels and Akureyri Backpackers. Or, you could stay the night in Saudarkrokur, 50 miles (78 kilometers) west of Draflastadir, where you have the options of the Hotel Tindastóll and Hotel Mikligardur.
