"This hotel is an experience, this was my 2nd stay, the 1st time was a few years ago and i had an amazing stay, unfortunately this hotel is slowly sinking, (pardon the pun) . Check in was excellent so I thought we were of to a good start, then when we came down for dinner and escorted to our table we were told by the maître d' that he would have water brought to our table as we looked over the menus, that never happened, in fact after close to 15 minutes I had to stop a waiter to ask for some service, he took the order and the starter came a short while later along with wine, the scallops were amazing, we then had another long wait until the same waiter came back and asked did we want to see the desert menue? (We hadn't had our main yet)A very confused waiter left to investigate, came back and blamed the chef, when the main did arrive I asked for some vinegar, it never arrived, after a second attempt to get vinegar, an empty bottle was set down. The next morning I got out of bed and cut the sole of my foot with broken glass on the floor at the side of my bed, nothing had been broken in the room, the room had clearly not been cleaned properly, I found at least 6 small shards of glass beside the bed and set them beside the phone. The hotel in general needs a deep clean, especially room 230, the very picture on the wall has been splattered with something from the past as well as the picture of the Olympic in the dining room. Im not sure if my wife and I will ever return 😕"
