Great staff. Very helpful and in good humor. Clean fresh room. Heritage building right downtown. Restaurant/pub in the building and even a Barber shop. I'm going to get my hair cut when I check out.

Although the staff were nice they were not available in the evening. We could hear a TV and talking behind the office door but no one answered the door or phone. It was cold so we needed an exptra blanket. We used our coats instead. Also, the TV system did not work and we were hoping for assistance there. If they would answer the phone that would be very helpful.

The staff greeted us with a smile. Check in took less than 2 minutes. We walked up the easy one flight of stairs to our room. The room was a studio suite with a king bed. It was very reasonable at just over $100. The modern bathroom was beautiful along with a massive shower, free toiletries & a blow dryer. 2 large TVs, comfy bed and gorgeous original brick walls. Easy walk around to little shops & restaurants. Highly recommend!

Second time staying at this property. Room was in the rear building. Preferred room in the main building on our first stay. There was a construction site at end of the block but no work was happening. Construction had resumed in the morning and the water supply was cut off at some point. It's hard to believe that the hotel wouldn't have been advised of this to give guests a warning. Having the water run out mid shower made for a very unhappy guest. No staff at front desk when we left to speak with about this. Kind of a given when you book a hotel room that there will be running water for your stay.

The service was first class. Front desk were all friendly and showed genuine care for me, even coming up to my room and politely warning me to move my car (I'd falsely thought I parked in hotel parking) which spared me a ticket. Excellent experience all around.

Originally built in 1923 this hotel is like stepping back in time. Extensively renovated it’s a cool place to stay. Plenty of dining options within walking distance. We wish we could have stayed a couple more nights, and certainly will the next time we are in Cranbrook.
