Booked room and then left

The hotel itself was clean, hotel staff was friendly. We got there, checked in and ten minutes later, had to leave bc of a family emergency. Wouldn’t even discuss a refund so I was out $158. Even a partial would have been helpful. I do realize you need 24 hours to cancel; however, when we got the call, we had to leave immediately. I just wish in my time of hardship, they could have helped a little.

Needs updated but a nice place to stay, quiet (unless airplanes fly over), very clean and friendly staff. I feel once they updated, the price might be worth it. Breakfast was very limited and the pictures and actual are very different. If You find a deal, it’s nice, I wouldn’t pay what the best western website and customer Service was giving!

As soon as we walked into the room there was a musty sour smell. Not sure if it was the AC unit or the bed linens or what. My daughter wouldn’t sleep under the covers; thankfully we had a blanket in the car.

We did not stay. The first room looked very clean and had been freshly remodeled but it smelled very moldy and you could see the mold under there paint. Front desk was very nice and offered another room so we looked at it and it turned out to be worse. We all have allergies to mold and told the front desk we just couldn’t stay. Our reservation was canceled but we had to find a place to stay at 9:30 pm.

The front entry is under construction. Is unsafe and workers loud & noisy. Equipment was left on the sidewalk making it hazardous. Housekeeper was vacuuming at 4 pm on a Sunday on the hallway. Staff was on the phone cursing to a family member. Pretty ghetto for the price.

Staff nice but dead bolt not working and solution wasn’t great…pet friendly room on ground floor. No other similar rooms on top floor but not many cars in parking so wasn’t sure of truth. Strong musty smell in room. Besides smell, room was clean, bathroom clean and good shower, comfortable bed.

Would have been nice if it was disclosed that it was being remodeled. If my reservation would have been cancellable I would not have stayed. Rom was nice and comfortable but had a cracked mirror in bath sheet had holes and room had an odor. Other tha INSTANT COFFEE, breakfast bar was good and had very good variety (better than most in area)
