We stayed in a two bedroom ocean view villa loft. Gorgeous, spacious room. There were four of us but it could have comfortably fit more. Very clean with comfortable beds. Loved the balcony with the gas fireplace. Everything was pricey, as you might imagine. For what I spent, I would have loved for parking or breakfast to be included.

I paid $1000 a night a room that overlooked the water. When you pay that amount you come to expect a certain level of service, accommodation, and amenities. This hotel failed in every single way. And when I contacted the Hotel manager regarding my concerns, he offered up 15% discount instead of refunding. Here were the issues: Our suitcases were lost/misplaced - they were eventually found, but one of the front staff who took our suitcase tag - lost it. We checked in early and werw told I would receive a call when the room was ready. The call never came. When I walked down in person at 2:45 a different member of staff advised that it had been ready, but didn’t know they were supposed to notify me. Their front doors are not equipped for wheelchairs. It made it impossible to exit or enter with my mother’s wheelchair. I had to rely on strangers to hold/open the doors for us. I did point this out to staff. The Hotel manager argued this point. Their “Del Dash” service for food is terribly problematic. I paid an enormous amount of money for receiving next to nothing. It was terrible. The front desk staff informed me that I should have just done DoorDash. Fireplace was broken Stopper in sink was broken off and left in sink. Requested luggage assistance the night before as my mom was in a wheelchair and I needed help. I was advised they would be extremely busy and could not guarantee assistance. In the morning I requested again but was told no help was available.

The property was beautiful and the room was so spacious and the pool was large. My only con is that the on-site food is very expensive, but there are lots of restaurants nearby that are walkable and easy to get to.

Treat to stay at the LXR Hotel

We were in San Diego to visit friends and to get married on the beach with friends and family. A small intamite gathering. Returned back to the hotel after the ceremony to enjoy the rest of the evening at the bar and patio area. The bartenders were very friendly and accommodating.

This is as good as it gets. Brand new and wonderful. Every room has a decent view of the ocean or the bay. The grounds are lovely. Suggestion: Complimentary coffee in the lobby for guests. Everyone will appreciate this amenity.
