The Admiral is a lovely property. The location is walk able and quite close to many attractions, including the Nyhavn area. The room was clean and a nice size. They have a terrific terrace out by the harbor, which is perfect for a morning coffee and croissant.

The Admiral Hotel, currently undergoing renovations, is in a wonderful location - walking distance to many attractions. I traveled with my family and all of us felt very safe walking back to the hotel in the evenings. We did have breakfast one day in the hotel - a wide variety of buffet options - all delicious. We stayed in one of the loft rooms which was lovely and the space was adequate for 3 of us. The staff - from front desk, room service, housekeeping, dining - ON EVERY OCCASION was exceedingly helpful, kind, and professional,

The nicest hotel I’ve been to. Clean, recently remodeled. My room had big exposed beams. Right on the harbor. Nice restaurant and bar. Best breakfast buffet ever. Staff was over the top nice. Take the boat tour with Luca!

08/11/25 The location of the Admiral is great. It is situated on the Nyhavn waterfront, is close to a number of sites and very quiet. It was a great respite from some of the busy streets we saw during the day. There is ongoing construction going on but not noticeable. There is a new D.R. and the patio on the water is very nice. It would have been nice to have a larger seating area downstairs for guests. However, our overall rating is based specifically about a safety issue on our floor. Service: The reception desk staff is very friendly & attentive. We understand the cleaning staff has a very tough job. However, we are very tidy guests and left the room organized each day but it was obvious that housekeeping barely did cursory cleaning as a result. Condition of Room and Hallways: Our room was very spacious but the carpeting had stains and could have easily been cleaned. The hallway carpeting was also dire condition and should be replaced. Safety: We were situated on the top floor and we thought we were in a storage area. For some reason all of the linen carts were situated all along the hallway at night blocking the areas under the arches outside of rooms. We even had a large linen cart right in front of our door which could block a fast exit in care of an emergency. We knew the route to the elevators but didn’t see an exit sign where our room was. The lighting could be improved too. This is a safety & fire hazard and should be addressed immediately.

Good choice

Convenient location: Walking distance to many attractions and metro/bus stations. Room size: Very small with limited walking space and storage for luggage, but clean and newly renovated. Bathroom: The shower has a glass panel covering half the space, but the other half is open, which can cause water overflow if the water stream is too strong. Took some time to figure out how to prevent flooding. Bedding: Clean white bed sheets. Staff: Friendly and helpful, with smooth check-in/check-out process. AC: A bit noisy, but not disruptive after a day of exploration.

Wonderfully situated next to the harbor and all the major areas but still in a quiet area. Beautifully appointed hotel but the AC didn’t work and the cleaning staff always left some items out: no wash cloth or no body wash or no bath towel and mat…. Thankfully, they provided a fan, otherwise we would have died from the stuffiness. We asked maintenance to check the AC and they said it was fine. It was set to 17.5C but the temp in the room was 23C. The hotel also needs to use vinegar or bleach in the shower grout, which was pink from bacteria.

The hotel was ok. Our room had a very low beam that my 6'2" husband was afraid he'd walk into if he got up during the night. Weird design. By far, the biggest complaint is no air conditioning! Eventhough the website clearly states Air Conditioning in the rooms, there is none! It's only an air recirculation system, as described by the lady at the front desk. Also, the breakfast buffet was expensive.

This property has been remodeled and is in excellent condition. As I stayed in several hotels in Denmark during my 2 weeks I was dissapointed in this being the only one that charged for using their bicycles.

Great Hotel on the Waterfront

Loved this hotel. It's in a good location, a short walk to the train station. Copenhagen is a very walkable city so we walked to most of the main tourist sites. The hotel is close to restaurants but not too close that it's noisy. In fact it was very quiet. The room isn't huge but big enough with good beds and furniture. I particularly liked the bathrooms that had ample counter space for toiletries. We didn't eat breakfast or use the restaurants or bar. For breakfast we just went to a nearby cafe for coffee and croissant.
