"I had high hopes for this property but it fell below my expectations. To start, I arrived 1.5 hours before 3pm check in and was informed I had to pay $300 MXN in order to be checked in, even though my room was ready. The hotel appeared very empty so not sure why they would charge. Nonetheless I paid. I had a room with a sofa and kitchenette…the issue was that there were no pots or pans to be able to utilize the kitchenette. The room I was given faced another building. If the hotel is nearly empty, why not give me a room facing the street (better view)?! The location of the hotel was good. Breakfast was average. I ordered eggs with ham and only received scrambled eggs. I would’ve sent it back but didn’t want to wait another 20 minutes. Overall, I would say this is not a 3 star hotel. More like 2. Think more like Motel 6 instead of Hampton Inn. (just my honest review, which I rarely give) "
