The staff and common areas were great. The room was terrible. The air conditioner was louder than any AC unit I’v ever heard in a hotel room. Without exaggeration, it sounded like a train was passing outside the window. And, the cold air blew directly on the bed. With the noise and the regular blasts of cold air, we were unable to sleep very well. I’d appreciate a response - do hotels give better rooms to those who book directly with them?

As an international visitor, I was disappointed with the amount of waste generated at the breakfast buffet. Polystyrene plates, plastic cups, plastic cutlery. In the short term this maybe cheaper, but in the long term is generates so much waste that it is bad for the brand, bad for the economy and bad for the environment. We stayed at the same hotel 9 years ago. The rooms were nice then, but now they have aged. There was torn carpet in our room in at least two spots due to wear and tear. The place needs a refresh. We booked there because of our great experience 9 years ago. Would I stay there again? Maybe... but I would look for a better deal somewhere else first.
