Staff were fantastic and very friendly. Accommodating of our late night arrival… the AC unit in our room made some pretty awful noises all night, making sleep very hard. It’s Texas, so roaches are always a factor, but we found a little too much evidence for our comfort level in the room we were given. Bathroom was newly renovated though!

Hotel sent me a text message that I didnt get until Monday night at 11:30 pm that credit card could not be used because it was n t in my name. And also charged me a pet fee I didnt use either. This hotel offers a great value: clean rooms, pet friendly and good price. The only complaint is that our room key stopped working at 10 am even though check out is 11 am. My husband and I took turns going to the front desk to get a new key (3 times!) and the front desk person finally came to let us into our room because none of the keys would work. It was a very hot day so we were all sweaty by the time we could get back in to finish getting our things and our 2 dogs. This is not the first time this has happened at the same hotel in Childress, TX.

Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. Got in late 8/31/25 and if we weren’t so tired and has already unpacked the vehicle, we would have turned right around and went somewhere else. Urine on the side of the toilet, crickets and beetles all throughout the room, cigarette burns on the side of the bathtub, someone else’s hair on the bedding, and the door to the bathroom hits the toilet every time you try to open and/or close it. At least it was quiet, I’ll give it that much.

My 82 year old mother didn't feel safe at the property. She didn't like the open layout and had fears of staying there. It was obvious it was a hotel for construction workers which we support. There was nothing out of the ordinary aside from the open outside entry and the big trucks. I was refused a refund for two rooms and plan to never stay at that brand hotel again. I'm sorry my mother didn't feel safe but her feel safe is all that matters. We went over our budget because of the refusal and have to make up for having to pay in a place we never slept in. I will be forwarding this note to corporate.

AC not working properly

Hotel is due for an update / refresh (they even have a sign in the lobby saying it is coming soon). Breakfast was decent. Room was dingy. Our biggest issue was that the AC was not working properly which is a big deal in Texas in August. They were full so receptionist couldn't move us to another room. Would have preferred to be offered a refund and move hotels than to be hot all night.
