Car rentals are plentiful, but you must have an international driver's license or a license from a Gulf Cooperation Council country; you also need a credit card that does not expire in the next three months. It may be simpler to ride in a stylish limousine or hire a taxi. Pick among sedans, vans, and special taxis that accommodate passengers traveling heavy. You'll find the taxi pavilion right outside the passenger terminal. Alternatively, you can take the public bus, which is also right outside the passenger terminal. You can get just about anywhere in the city on the bus, but you need a Karwa Smartcard. If you don't have one, purchase one from the bus driver.
