Doha flights land at Hamad International Airport, which replaced Doha International Airport in 2014. Like the rest of Doha, the airport is sleek and exotic, and access to hotels in Doha is easy. Airport officials recommend checking visa, entrance, and exit requirements prior to your trip for enhanced comfort and convenience. After you clear customs, head out to explore Doha. It's all yours! Car rentals are plentiful, but you must have an international driver's license or a license from a Gulf Cooperation Council country; you also need a credit card that does not expire in the next three months. It may be simpler to ride in a stylish limousine or hire a taxi. Pick among sedans, vans, and special taxis that accommodate passengers traveling heavy. You'll find the taxi pavilion right outside the passenger terminal. Alternatively, you can take the public bus, which is also right outside the passenger terminal. You can get just about anywhere in the city on the bus, but you need a Karwa Smartcard. If you don't have one, purchase one from the bus driver.
