Overall Lot better than most airlines in america. Thank you so much

Feb 12, 2020

Overall the best experience to date on any airline. Excellent customer service.

Feb 8, 2020

the transfer process in the Hong Kong Airport was poor at best. Airport staff were not helpful and would not even answer questions, just pointed Cathay Check in for boarding has been the best of any airline I've traveled. Very orderly and controled

Feb 4, 2020

Seats are way too small -the man next to me was partly on top of me and my seat. Staff was great. Thank you for having kosher food.

Jan 30, 2020

Super job

Jan 23, 2020

Terrible food; plenty of legroom

Jan 6, 2020

Staff was very accommodating to my needs & requests.

Jan 4, 2020

Actually departed Kathmandu less than 2 hours late. Rare event for Thai and Kathmandu airport.

Dec 28, 2019

Glad premium seats were offered or I wouldn't have gone.

Dec 22, 2019

Pros: Friendly staff, we were well taken care of. Cons: seats were horrible. No leg room & if you needed to get up so did everyone in your row. If person in front of you leaned seat back to rest, you could kiss the back of seat, that's just how close it was in your face. Terrible to be squeezed in like that for 13 hours. Shame on all airlines that test your customers like cattle & all for more profits. Corporations No longer out customers first. It's all about cold hard cash!

What airport is best to fly into Bangkok?

Featuring two airports, you'll have options when flying into Bangkok. Take into account where you'll be staying and the places you'll be exploring, as this may help you decide on which flights you decide on. Bangkok Airport (BKK-Suvarnabhumi Intl.) is 16 miles (25 kilometers) from all the action downtown, while Bangkok Airport (DMK-Don Mueang Intl.) is 12 miles (20 kilometers) away.

Where to stay in Bangkok

It's not every day you go on vacation, so why not indulge in a bit of luxury? Places to visit in Bangkok

With a multitude of renowned sights in Bangkok, it'd be wise to take some comfortable shoes. At the top of your travel schedule should be a trip to Grand Palace and the Wat Pho. After that, you might need to pick up the pace a bit as you shouldn't go home without stopping by the Wat Arun and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha.

Experience the unique culture of this lively metropolis by enjoying places like Siam Square and Jim Thompson House. If you're after more options, Chatuchak Weekend Market and Patpong Night Market are worth a look too.

How to get through airport security fast when traveling to Bangkok

If you like the thought of spending more time at the airport cafes and less time navigating your way through security on your way to Bangkok, follow these helpful tips:

  • Airport security will request to see your passport and boarding pass upon arrival. Store them in an accessible place, so they're ready for inspection.
  • It's useful to know that belts with metal buckles can set off the body scanner's alarms. If you have one on, you may be instructed to step back and take it off before continuing.
  • All laptops must be removed from their cases and placed in a tub before being scanned.
  • When you get to the security checkpoint, you'll be asked to place all gels, liquids and creams in a separate tray for scanning. Make sure they're all in containers smaller than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) and sealed in a clear zip-lock bag.
  • Hiking boots and other heavy shoes are usually X-rayed. It might be wise to wear lightweight sneakers instead.
  • Multi-tools and corkscrews are not allowed on board the aircraft. Put them in your checked luggage to avoid them being confiscated at the airport security checkpoint.

Flights To Bangkok

Everyone can count the number of seeds in an apple, but no one can count the number of apples in a seed. From small, humble beginnings grow wonderful, impressive things—like a single apple seed becoming an entire orchard. During the 15th century, Bangkok was little more than a small trading post. Since that time, it has become the most populated city in all of Thailand. The capital city has everything from sprawling urban centers to ancient historical sites, and this is likely why countless tourists make their way to Bangkok every year. You'll want to seek out cheap flights to Bangkok, because once you step away from the Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK), you don't want a lack of funds to impact your fun in the expansive mix of yesteryear and tomorrow. And, the best place to find incredible deals on tickets to Bangkok is right here with Travelocity.

Transportation from BKK

If you're looking to experience Bangkok on your own time, feel free to rent a vehicle at the airport terminal. Due to heavy traffic, though, you might want to find hotels near Suvarnabhumi International Airport to help cut down on your commute time. A renewed commitment by municipal leaders to ease highway congestion has resulted in a growing number of public transportation options linking BKK to downtown to reduce the number of cars on the interstate. This means you can take the Airport Rail Link to your destinations much easier than you could drive there. There is also a taxi stand outside the arrival hall, but since drivers aren't well-regulated, sticking with public transit might be a better idea.
