Frequently asked questions
Flights To Adelaide
Find plane tickets to Adelaide and head to the vibrant capital of South Australia, a city known for its love of sports, its beaches and parks, and its fine food and wine. As your flight descends into Adelaide Airport (ADL), you'll see the expansive green parklands encircling the city center, and the turquoise waters of Gulf St Vincent to the west. Explore the city after you land and take in its historic churches, visit the Central Market with 250-plus stalls, and perhaps attend one of Adelaide's celebrated sporting events: take your pick from cricket, rugby, or Aussie rules football.
Transportation From ADL
Flights to Adelaide land at ADL, only four miles from the center of the city. If you wish to rent a car, find the desks of six rental car companies next to the baggage claim area on the ground level of the terminal. Having a car isn't essential in Adelaide, though, as the city's extensive bus, train, and tram network (Adelaide Metro) is directly connected to ADL. Leaving the terminal, go to the bus stop on the left side of the plaza and hop on a double-decker JetBus, which will take you into the center of Adelaide. You can purchase tickets from the driver. A taxi rank is located close to the bus stop. Find a taxi concierge to assist you. Some Adelaide hotels offer airport shuttle services for their guests, and you can also arrange similar services through private shuttle companies based in the city. Call shuttle company offices at the Information and Tourism Bookings Booth on the ground floor of the terminal to arrange pick-up. Another option is the Adelaide Airport Flyer minibus service, which you should book in advance.
