My husband and I stayed here for two days as we were visiting Normandie. The owners were wonderful--I speak French fluently, which is a likely must if you stay in a small, quaint, quiet, rural town. Restaurant selections in rural areas are limited so we chose our first night to dine at the hotel and were so pleased we dined there our second night. The escargot was excellent with good wines. Prices reasonable with highly personalized service--in French. Ambience is historic and authentic but rooms are updated. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone who has a working knowledge of French. The host and hostess went above and beyond to make us feel at home.

Great location. Stayed in the new building which is clean but furnished sparsely. Could use a few hooks in bathroom and shelf for toiletries. Dinner was excellent although service was very slow. 21/2 hours was longer then we expected as we took the first seating. Servers were friendly but disappeared with no explanation as to why our meals were delayed. As others have noted; the manager is very gruff, no small talk or effort to make guests feel welcome. At least that was our experience. Overall, very good, will recommend if you want to be where the action is.

Everything about this home is absolutely charming. The property is nicely landscaped, and the inside of the house is beautifully decorated. It is both comfortable and cozy. It gave us a lovely place to rest and relax during our time in Normandy. We especially loved sitting in the glass living room with the windows and doors open as the wonderful scent of the honeysuckles wafted through. The property manager, Sabrina, was very friendly and easy to work with, and she went out of her way to make us feel very welcome. We loved it so much that we plan to return next summer! I can't say enough about it. It's magnificent. I highly recommend this gite.
