The Space: Welcome to Southern Shangri-La on Coming Street, a warm and welcoming top-floor retreat in the heart of downtown Charleston. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be greeted by a vibrant wall mural by local artist Carly Thomas, setting the tone for a stay filled with color, comfort, and relaxed island-inspired charm. Enter through the driveway side door and head upstairs to Apartment D, your private top-floor escape!

Though perfectly located downtown, Southern Shangri-La feels like a peaceful getaway. Lush greenery, Balinese furnishings, and travel-inspired décor create a laid-back, tropical atmosphere that’s both cozy and inviting. Apartment D offers approximately 700 square feet of light-filled living space and comfortably accommodates up to four guests, ideal for couples, friends, or a small family.

The apartment features two bedrooms and one bathroom, along with a comfortable living area designed for relaxing after a day of exploring. You’ll be surrounded by Charleston’s best restaurants, coffee shops, and nightlife, making it easy to leave the car behind and enjoy the city on foot or by bike.

The building is home to just four apartments, offering a friendly, neighborhood feel while still providing privacy. Guests enjoy exclusive access to the entire second-floor unit, which is well lit and easy to access. Off-street parking is included in the driveway, making arrivals and departures simple and stress-free.

*We provide starting supply for coffee, toiletries, trash bags, tide pods, and dishwasher pods. There is a nearby convenience store if you need to pick up more during your stay.

*If the property includes a washer and dryer, we kindly ask that you use them to refresh your towels during your stay. While you don’t need to wash towels or linens at checkout, please note that we have a limited supply and may not be able to provide extras unless the home lacks a laundry room.

*Crib and high chair available through a third party as an optional add-on and must be ordered 48 hours in advance in order to guarantee it is in the home prior to guest arrival. Inquire for information to book with the third party*
