La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Birmingham Homewood
"i arrived on a Monday evening. The young man was most helpful. After getting in room, I decided to go get something to eat. He handed me a sheet of paper with local establishments and where they are. (In my haste to get reservations and pack at the same time, I was not aware I had left my slacks and two tops at home!) I had seen a Ross store earlier, which is where I went to buy (more) clothes. (I found a couple of items, but that store was is in the Worse Condition I've ever seen. But that's not our objective.)There was not really a dresser to put clothes in, the toilet seat slid, the tray with the coffee pot was on a shelf I could hardly reach. I did bring it down to behind the microwave, which was an area not dusted. There were no towel bars to use. Oh, there was the one long one under the sink. There was no pen and paper on desk, nothing to indicate times to check in or out. I had to go ask the manager how to use the remote control, which he obliged in helping me. I had to leave Tuesday morning for a golf course and had no idea where i was going. The Black man, with housekeeping or maintenance or yard, was most helpful in putting in my GPS. Breakfast items were enough. i was by myself; I didn't need much but coffee (I like liquid creamer and not powder) and my muffin. parking was not the best, but, hey, I can walk. And I froze with the AC on but I cut off. No blanket(s) available. I'd stay there again but by myself. thank you."
