Convenient location that is close to the beach and local activities. Basic amenities, but great price comparatively! The room was cozy and I didn’t hear much noise or traffic. Walked to every planned destination for the weekend. I definitely recommend, and will stay another time.

It’s a very cute quaint motel. Fairly priced except for the pet fee which in my opinion is ridiculous for $30 per night. Most motels it’s one set fee not per night.

The place needs a refresh, for sure. My first room was a bust. The cables on the tv were pulled out and it was not working. This room looked dirty at first glance. I could see stains everywhere. Didnt look like it was cleaned on the regular. I went to the front desk to tell them about the tv. I was told that someone would come take a look in about 15 mins or so. Instead, I asked to be moved which she agreeed to. She did ask me to get the remote from the first room and return it to the lobby with the room key. Not a big deal, but it was an inconvenience. The 2nd room was much bigger. Better set up at first glance. Really dirty. Room smelled like weed. Burn holes in the top cover on the bed. Stains as well. I didnt feel comfortable sleeping there. I ended up ripping the top sheet off and sleeping on top of the other sheets. These sheets also had burn holes. Walls were filthy, and so was the shower. There was some odd, orange stain on the shower floor. Didnt shower because of this. I found 2 books in a drawer, and a t-shirt in another. That tells me that they definitely are not cleaning up after each guest. If they cleaned thoroughly then this room would be acceptable to rent out. It wouldnt be a bad place. It has potential with the layout inside the room. Cant really say the same with the first room. I stayed here because of a discounted rate. I would have been pissed off if I paid their full rate, which needs to be reconsidered.

As noted above, it is close to downtown but right next to train tracks. It is very old, as are its mattresses, (very unconfortable), our door to 213 leaked water onto our floor during the rains. The occupants of 212 next door woke us up at 2 in the morning yelling and moving furniture about, my wife was terrified. Wall mounted shower shelf was cracked. There was no coffee maker in our room, the toileteries were minimal at best. At least there was plenty of hot water. Parking was immedieatly adjacant to our room. 1 van accessible parking space was provided at office. Property staff lives on site but was very lacking in communication skills. Daily rate is leaste expensive in area if that is all you are looking for. My bad.

This property was filthy and felt very unsafe. I didn't stay despite knowing I wouldn't get a refund. Stay away. I recommend Expedia remove this property from their listings.

Within walking distance to most everything you need... the beach, shopping, park, restaurants, gift shops and more! I had a quaint, cozy room with a kitchenette on the secluded second floor, which I loved! It's a no-frills kind of place, but it is also dirt cheap by CA motel standards. I would recommend buying a new comforter for the bed (which cannot cost much at all) to replace the one which, though beautiful in color, has seen better days. That small criticism would not keep me from staying there again, though. But, I'd want that same room (#122) !
