I'd come back.

This place has improved from a month ago when I found a German cockroach on my icebox. Now pest free. Some of the plugs still don't work and you can smell cigarette smoke from other rooms because of bathroom vents being inter connected but slept well which means everything to me! Now have nutrigrain bars as well.

Rooms with kitchen amenities

Plenty of space and kitchen was nice, but you had to know to ask front desk for dishes, mugs, glasses, silverware, or anything you would want in the kitchen. Bed was okay. Breakfast is Nutrigrain bars, small store bought muffins, and packets of instant oatmeal.

The Goldilocks experience in Carlsbad.

Overall it was pretty good. The first evening, the guy whose name starts with Riz was extremely nice and very professional. Five stars to him! Then the not so good thing: Minus the family cooking fish and using turmeric every day and making the entire 2nd floor smell like fish wharf. And then on one occasion while I was working in the room (I work remotely) before 5pm, the manager told me she just had to see my TV to update it and that it was mandatory, seemed very odd. Nothing seemed to have updated on the TV after she spent about two minutes with it. I would recommend it to anyone who has multiple nights away from home and for those perhaps working remotely. The internet was fairly stable except on that Friday it seemed like a lot of users may have caused some lagging. Pet friendly and for those with service dogs they are very accommodating. I would give it 4.5 stars overall.
French toast made in the room with the kitchenette. The fruit was from the local farmers market the day before.

The worst place in Carlsbad, hands down.

The hotel should not even have been open. Active construction going on. Lobby closed, had to use back door. Water did t work and ran brown when it did. Homeless people all over parking lot. Worst hotel I’ve stayed at in years. Towels were filthy, air conditioner hardly worked. It really should not even be open for business.

Would have been a nice place to stay. I was considering this hotel to be our go to hotel until we see a lady in the 2nd floor digging into the trash to get recyclables and the night before, we saw a half naked guy walking on the hallways. Anyone can enter this hotel. We did not feel safe. Too bad because the location was great and the hotel itself is clean and has kitchenette but just worried about safety. I hope they can improve that part.

The unit I stayed in met my expectations. I wasn't looking for anything lavish. The location was perfect for visiting friends. The common facilities were good. The staff, particularly the desk clerks, were excellent. That was very appreciated.
