Great price, comfy rooms for the price, more of a school camp feel though. Was probably great in its 80’s/90’s hay days but seems a bit forgotten now and in need of a makeover. Nothing much around as it’s on the highway (rest stop) but only 15min from Canberra city centre. Great for a stopover with a full breakfast buffet & helpful staff. Need to update the curtains in rooms

The place was good all round had plenty of a facilities food was fine. Beds were comfortable but rooms do need an update except the bathroom looked renovated. Overall considering what we paid I was happy only problem. It was too far from everything.

They reneged on my booking at the last minute; as I was boarding the plane, despite my telephoning the day before to personally confirm. They refused to accomodate me at Eaglehawk, but offered their budget version on the other side of the city. I had to insist on having the price lowered accordingly. The only upside was that the room at the budget Ibis was good, clean, spacious & 1000 thread count bed linen.

I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The rooms were not clean at all. Our bed was an old metal bunk bed that shook and made loud noises every time we moved on it. There were no covers provided for the blankets, which was very unhygienic. The in-room phone didn’t work, and when I tried calling the reception from my mobile, no one ever picked up. I had to physically go to the reception every time I needed something. The breakfast buffet was very poor, low quality and very limited options. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel based on my experience.
