Property is dated, in order to take a shower you had to step into a jacuzzi type tub that was slippery. The floors seemed like they needed a good cleaning, there was never enough amenities such as coffe pods either one pod per day or none.. the pools need to be painted and the waiters were not trained on two occasions entire drinks were spilled in our lap with just “I’m sorry” did even get napkins. The indoor bar is great but not enough bar tenders you wait a long time for your cocktails.

We had a wonderful couple of days at the Sheraton Mirage. The hotel was excellent and the food terrific. The only thing that would make it even better was if they had an adults only section in Feast Restaurant. At the buffet breakfast there was a lot of children running around tables and in walkways while we were walking back to our spot with plates in one hand and glasses in the other, and nearly loosing the lot. Not the restaurants fault, but slack parenting. Teach your children some restaurant manners.

The property allows for direct access to Four Mile beach - the shore is lined with a somewhat thick line of palm trees so it's not like other beach resorts where there is an open view and lounge chairs/umbrellas on the beach. This resort is huge with a lot of different lagoon pools throughout and many dining options. It's also a 30ish minute walk along the beach to the downtown area which has a great nightlife and beautiful sunsets and you can easily book a ride on a shared coach service to get back after dark. This place is amazing; highly recommend.

Sheraton Grand Mirage, A Grand Disappointment

As returning guests over the years, it's truly disheartening to witness the steady decline of what was once a stunning resort. The rooms are in a poor state - our toilet and shower head didn’t work properly, and the dated shower-in-bathtub setup feels far below standard. The timber walkways around the pool are rotting, the air conditioning barely functioned, and the service was mediocre at best. Coming from the hospitality industry myself, it’s clear the owners are simply cashing in without reinvesting in the property. For the rates they're charging, guests deserve far better. It’s a shame to see such a beautiful estate falling into neglect.
