"A Hidden Gem within BA's Coolest Neighborhood - Best Value hands down"
What a great experience! We were pampered from top to bottom. Check in took approximately 3 minutes when we arrived. Complimentary bottle of wine, water and fruit waiting for us in the brand new, super well appointed room (and I am PICKY!). The staff could not be nicer and more helpful. They constantly went out of their way to do anything we requested, and often to preempted our needs. It was like an Ian Schrager boutique hotel meets the Four Seasons.
The rooms are very well appointed, modern, clean bright and airy. The beds and pillows are super comfortable (and this is coming from someone who is like the princess in the "Princess and the Pea"). There is a kitchenette, and fridge... not that we ever used it, but it was nice to know it's there. In reality, the portions in all the restaurants are so huge that it's nice to know that you can bring home the left overs, keep them in the fridge and then microwave them when you're ready. There is Direct TV, which is super rare in foreign countries, where most hotels lack even one English speaking channel, much less all the ones we like. Can't say we watched much TV, but again, it was nice to hear something familiar as we were getting ready to go out or falling asleep. There is also free Wi-Fi, a sun deck, and a great gym on the premises.
There is no restaurant in the hotel, which I thought was a negative at first. However, they give you a voucher to eat breakfast at one of the many great restaurants within 1-2 blocks. In the end, we liked this option better, as we got to try a number of different things vs eat the same breakfast in the same room every morning.
Fantastic attention to details. Oversized fluffy towels; powerful hairdryer; lots of hangers/drawers; good lighting (especially in the bathroom, which is rare, but very important, as make up applications in the dark never turn out well); nice quality shampoos; super comfy pillows and nice bedding (seriously, I can't say enough good things about the beds there!); super dark black out curtains.
Finally, the neighborhood. The hotel is very central, close to subway stations and taxis (which are super cheap) are abundant. Moreover, there are tons of bars, great restaurants, shopping and just about anything else you need within walking distance. In fact, you may not even want to leave the neighborhood.
Overall, I thought that the value was one of the best in Argentina. I am actually surprised that this place is as inexpensive as it is. I think they can probably charge double and get away with it. I recommend you go quickly, before the owners catch on.
