I was shocked for a couple of reason. As we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by a young lady with reddish hair. She was completely unfriendly and unhelpful. When I was checking in with my family I have asked her to confirm if one of the rooms following our request had the two separate beds and she rolled her eyes weirdly as I dint understand how I was being rude? And said no. I then asked her politely if this can be done as this was requested 2 months ago. Then after entering our rooms unfortunately we were greeted by dead flies on our windows, spider webs across the room ceiling. There was hair in our shower, the toilet brush was COMPLETELY UNSANITARY AND DIRTY. I don’t need to explain in detail as you can imagine what kind of dirt this is. We have raised this to the hotel but nothing was done during our stay. I had requested EVERYDAY for a new set of shower cap and vanity set which usually comes as house cleaning is done but that was not the case even when requested. I was ignored. The staff were simply unfriendly during our stay. Not sure if others experienced the same but early I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, even though, at first when I did book it, I was surprised to read the greta comments. The location is the only thing that saves it because it’s in front of the tram.

The hotel position is really great for visiting The Buda Castle, the Fisherman's Bastion and it is well linked with the city centre by the metro. The hotel breakfast has plenty of options. Staff is welcoming and kind

Was a little disappointed by the hotel. Rooms are clean but a little old, the shower was very poor the shower head was so clogged up that the water hardly came out. Food for breakfast was limited but the quality was good. The weather was warm but we were told they had not swapped over to the summer setting for the aircon and the room was hot. If you opened the windows you could not sleep from the noise of the road. One evening we had a plate of food from the restaurant and the cleaners left it in the room the next day all day which made the room smell. Also had no shower gel had to ask for some at reception. Just feel the hotel is average.

Good value for money. Hotel is on Buda side facing Parliament building which is very iconic in Budapest. Budapest is spread out so it is important to have good hotel location close to major attractions and this hotel does that.

There was no air conditioning or fan,no hot water,no robes. Not at all what is expected of a VIP property. Carpet was dirty and had cigarette burns. Drapes had holes. The location and parking assistance was very good.

Check in was smooth. The room was great, but it needs an upgrade. It was an executive room, but it seemed outdated. The walls need a fresh coat of paint, the curtains a good wash and the paintings a good dusting. But otherwise we liked it a lot. We stayed only one night, 2 children and 2 adults.

When we walked into reception there was a bad smell, a bit like sewer smell and this rang alarm bells. Fortunately it was only in the reception area, possibly a drain issue somewhere. We were upgraded to a room at the front of the hotel with a balcony. That was a nice touch as the hotel is nearly directly opposite the Parliament building across the river. Beautiful when lit up. The room was large with all the expected amenities. The bed was a bit uncomfortable being quite hard and the pillows not very comfortable. The hotel was very hot all the time, the staff apologising saying there was an issue with the aircon system. I couldn't shower on the last day as there was no hot water. Breakfast was the usual European hotel fare. Everything was refreshed and table cleaned promptly. Despite the few niggles with the hotel it didn't spoil our experience and I would still highly recommend it. It is in a great location right outside a tram stop. It is only a 15 minute walk to the main shopping area which is reached by a beautiful walk along the Danube and across the magnificent Chain Bridge.

Hotel is very handy for exploring Buda being In Walkable distance to main sites. 25 mins walk from bus terminal in Pest. Sights of Pest also walkable from hotel but probably not for the faint hearted. We would recommend for a stay.

The hotel is pleasant but rather tired. On a positive side, the rooms are large, the breakfast is very good and the majority of the staff are delightful. On the negative side, the hotel is in need of renovation, the bathroom has inadequate lighting and the rooms are very hotel even with the aircon off and the windows open.

I like the fact that we were on the Buddhist side, which is a lot quieter. Many of the attractions that we visited were on the Buddhist side. The rail system is right across the street, easy and convenient to obtain. There is a metro station about 500 m From the hotel. Everyone at the hotel was so nice, received an upgrade to our room, which was a plus and we would definitely come back here again.

We had a delightful room overlooking the Danube with a great view of the Parliament. Breakfasts were exceptionally good, and the staff was very attentive and helpful. We asked about parking in the garage, but were advised that our SUV would be able to ride the elevator down into the garage, but was too heavy to be lifted out of it again. We were offered wonderful street parking right in front of the hotel instead. I strongly recommend the Park Plaza Hotel and would love to stay here again.

Prior to arriving at the Hotel I messaged to let them know we were celebrating my Husbands 60th Birthday. When we checked in we had been upgraded and were given celebratory fizz and a rather lovely piece of cake each. The suite was in a very private area of the Hotel, it had views up to the Fisherman's Bastion. Even though the Hotel is on a main road, with the double windows it was rather peaceful. The room was excellent, the bed comfortable and all facilities were top notch. The food in the restaurant was excellent as was the service. The Hotel was situated in easy reach of all transport. Would highly recommend and will definitely return. Thank you so much to Park Plaza for a very memorable stay.
