We were a group of 23 (mix of adults/kids) driving from Chicago for a small group retreat. Upon arrival at 9pm, the driveway was snowed in with 3 inches of snow where 2 cars were stuck at the bottom of the driveway. When I called Sage (guest services) for assistance, she stated that "we would have sent someone tonight, but it cannot be helped until the next morning." When I reached out again, stating that this is a safety issue as we have nowhere to park our cars until tomorrow (we had about 7 cars in our group), and asked again for someone to come tonight, I received the same answer. They eventually sent someone after I persisted over 30 minutes. Once the snow removal arrived, it took another hour for the job to be completed - so several of us had to wait on the street until it was done, preventing us from entering and settling into the home until 11pm. Walkway and stairs were not shoveled or salted - we had to do this on our own.Keurig was not usable - the water case appeared to not have been changed for a very long time, as there was mold in the water.Utensils/dishes were not clean. We had to rewash it by hand before using it because the dishwasher would leave a strange white residue on it. The smoke alarm had a low battery that required changing. This disturbed some of us while sleeping and posed a safety concern as we had to remove the whole alarm.Overall house was clean, but lots of little things that disrupted our stay.
