We loved the location in relation to South Bend and the Notre Dame Football traffic. Staff was really nice, especially the morning staff. The breakfast was really good.

I am a frequent guest at Hampton Inn properties and have generally found them to provide reliable service and good value. Unfortunately, my recent experience at the Niles location did not meet those expectations. Upon arrival, I discovered that my reservation had been canceled without any prior notification, which was both inconvenient and unprofessional. During my stay, housekeeping services were not provided, as my room was never cleaned. Additionally, the breakfast offerings were below the standard I have come to associate with Hampton Inn, being only average in quality.

The room had a strong odor of VOC. It was so bad that my wife went to the lobby and told the attendant on duty about the problem and they came down to the room and said "yes, it smells" and said he would let the manager know. Also the toilet was so loud when it flushed, it would wake anyone in the room. We were not offered another room, or even compensation. My wife slept in the lobby until the support staff told her she couldn't stay there because another shift was starting. The people were nice enough but this was unacceptable treatment for a loyalty member.
