Chetola and Blowing Rock suffered only minor damage from hurricane Helene, and is now back in fully functioning mode. Now that power, internet, water and roads have been re-established Blowing Rock welcomes and needs people to come and enjoy their hospitality so that they can restore their livelihoods and get back to the wonderful mountain life we love.
Oak 6 is located in the beautiful Chetola Resort, a gated community rated by Southern Living as "one of the best stays in the Blue Ridge" It boasts a gorgeous lake with swans, walking trails, restaurant with seating in and out, indoor pool, health spa, tennis courts and much more. A one level, upstairs end unit with a large, covered balcony, offering views of the beautiful Chetola landscape, this fully renovated unit evokes the rustic mountain atmosphere with its reclaimed wood accents, yet with all the modern conveniences of today. Free Wi-Fi, a 42” HD flat-screen TV, gas log fireplace with remote, and all new furnishings as well as a fully stocked kitchen with granite counter-tops and stainless appliances are just a few of the comforts we offer. The bright and open floor-plan lends itself to easy and relaxed living at its best. The master suite has a king bed and spa bath with granite counters, large jetted tub and separate tile shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed and full bath just outside in the hallway. Cool-gel memory foam mattresses and upscale linen will help you get a great night`s sleep and be ready for next day`s adventures. A queen sleeper sofa in the living room accommodates two additional guests. There is also an extra bunk bed in the guest room. The charming and larger town of Boone and Appalachian State University are only a 10 minute drive away. 18 hole golf courses are just around the corner. Adjoining the property is Moses Cone State Park. It offers miles of walking trails and Bass Lake for you anglers. Take the day to drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway and visit Grandfather Mountain or Linville Gorge and Caverns, or visit Tweetsie Railroad (reopens Nov 29th), go snow skiing, horseback riding, and whitewater rafting. You can feel very safe in Chetola with gate guards and security. There is a wonderful on-site restaurant with a cozy bar and friendly, helpful staff. In the summertime you may be offered s’mores roasted over a fire-pit by the lake. Every summer the Charlotte symphony visits and plays on the grounds overlooking the lake, where you may bring a picnic. You may also fish, walk or paddle-boat around the lake. Enjoy pleasantly warm days, and cool nights in the summer or enjoy a winter wonderland during ski-season.

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights, lock the doors, and return the keys
Please put any dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start a “normal, heat dry” cycle. Dispose of all trash in the provided trash bags. Trash receptacles are by the Holly Building on Evergreen Drive.
Put the key back in the lockbox and hang the other key and rec center key card back on the wall where you found them. Enter the code to open and close it back. Press down the black top key to open.
Please check the bedroom and bathroom drawers and cabinets for any personal items left behind
