"After booking, you are informed of the additional cost of pool beds. Which I have never experienced before, we booked the hotel as it had a pool, otherwise would have used the extra for a hotel by the beach, which we ended up doing anyway. Walls are paper thin. Public transport is okay but not great. ..."

"Very close to the railway station, giving access to a large part of Italy including Venice, Verona and Modena. The hotel itself was very clean and well kept. Staff were very polite and helpful. Rooms are good, with the largest bed I've ever slept in (probably 10ft wide), and are impeccably cleaned every day. Bologna itself is a fanatic city to stay in if you want to experience the real Italy. In August, it seemed fairly quiet during the day, but coming alive in the late evening. Absolutely tons of thing to see and amazing places to eat which I thought were reasonably priced. Also, make sure you try the coffee shop just next to the hotel where you can get two coffees and a croissant for €4. The city itself has some wonderful sights, but also you can expect to see a bit of graffiti - not that It matters. We always felt safe and no real evidence of crime when walking out and about even late at night."
