Veggie breakfast was a big disappointment, for the price I'd expected something decent but no. The food had obviously been sitting around for a while and was lukewarm and rubbery. The hotel has a sauna but you can't use it unless you pay £15 per person for a 2 hour slot. The area was ok, you're close to the station but I wouldn't stay there again.

Checking in took the pi**. Apparently someone called in sick which is u fortunate but you’re a business…. Room was basic even though I booked an upgrade. No water in rooms? In 2025? I didn’t need any but overheard a guest asking and they were directed to a vending machine. No toothpaste or anything of the sort in the bathroom. Bathrooms were like holiday inn. Honestly better off booking premier inn. They’re more updated rooms and cheaper.

The room was excellent. All worked and was very clean. It’s a good central position for shops, station and theatre. Was a bit disappointed that breakfast was so expensive so headed to Greggs anyway. Last year when we stayed we were offered an upgrade at reception - not this year! Last year the upgrade didn’t happen - so we got some free cocktails - not this year! This year offered an upgrade on line that I accepted but was available when we got there. Ko cocktails- disappointed! Spa, closed at the times we wanted to use it. So that was a waste of spa access. Loved the hotel again but not as good as last year.
