Location for NEC was very convenient, welcome was warm, helpful and efficient. Room and ensuite were clean. Bed was HUGE and comfy. Combination choice of pillows gave options. Breakfast choices were excellent and loved the two sided glass surround of the dining area which enabled us to sit and look out on to the garden. Check out was 11am, an hour later than usual which made departure more relaxed .

Room was clean and bed comfortable but the duvet was too small for two. They did provide another on request. No sound proofing in the room and the water pressure was very low. Breakfast was fine but a bit of a lottery as to whether you could find clean plates / cutlery. Seemed short staffed, the staff were helpful but seemed to be too busy. I would stay again for the proximity to the NEC and the price vs others in the area but definitely room for improvement

On arrival in room the curtain rail was lying on the floor and assumption was that the sofa bed would have been made up for us. As we arrived after midnight on day of check in due to travel issues my son and I just crashed out on the double bed ... no great shakes in the big scheme of things. I did expect a little better, after signing up to the One Rewards scheme after my visit to the Holiday Inn Nottingham in March I might revert back to other hotels in future. The room was clean, staff were excellent. Having stayed on business at the Holiday Inn in Nottingham, I would say Birmingham maybep has a little to learn.
