Receptionist young girl shocking - rude, blunt and attitude. Rooms bed large but worn sheets and bobbles. Awful toilet paper like tracing paper. No hairdryer and room keys continued to not work went through 4 on 24 hours. For an executive room really low standard. Remote battery cover broken and old tape hanging off unable to secure.

Rooms nice and clean and comfortable, parking difficult to locate but once found, nice and secure and only a few mins walk away. Very convenient for an event at Eastside rooms. Would stay again if coming to Birmingham, used an Uber to go into town at night, but only a 15min walk

The hotel is exceptional value with friendly service that comes with a can do attitude. Rooms are comfortable and the campus is in a handy location for the city centre. The highlight though is the access to a 25m Edwardian swimming pool which is a short walk but still within the campus. The steam room gives a good heat and is a decent size too. The life guard took the time out to explain the history of the pool and there’s some fascinating old black and white photos from its early days.

Had a 7 minute walk from/to car park which is fine in the dry but not so great when you are in the middle of storm Amy. Would have been nice to have a box of paper handkerchiefs in the room. Perfect location when visiting Aston University

Easy to find and although no parking was available onsite, parking nearby was a short distance away, safe and affordable. The desk staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was a good size with a fantastically powerful shower, big telly and comfortable bed. Absolutely no complains. Would definitely stay here again.

Room was clean and had everything one would need for a good night stay. Breakfast was okay, personally I would have preferred some full fat Greek yogurt as another option..would be nice to include some cheese options too. Needed some trays to carry your food on as you end up taking several trips up to the buffet..restaurant is huge by the way! Apart from that, hotel is conveniently located although wouldn’t wanna walk back from town at night as it’s a bit of a trek, ended up taking more taxis than I would have liked. The real gem is the beautiful swimming pool and sauna/steam room. Fantastic!!! Staff were friendly and I liked the relaxed atmosphere.

Would stay in this place again

Friendly staffs. Lesser hassle when checking in where you can check-in online. I have a non-British passport where I need to enter my details. The room is big including the toilet which is a disabled access one so, I don't have an idea about the size of an ordinary room. The hotel is also close to some grocery stores and restaurants. The only issue that I have was the toilet where the amount of water when flushing is not enough and I need to flush it a couple of times.
