"The staff were friendly and helpful but the hotel, although quite a nice building, needs an upgrade.
Perhaps this will happen before next season as we were told that it has recently been taken over by Nomad Inns.
There was no water in the swimming pool and despite being told that it would be filled the next day it never was.. The shower room smells of drains which is quite unpleasant when cleaning your teeth over a basin with smells wafting out of the plug hole.
The tiles need renewed or at the very least a good clean and regrouting.
The WC fell over when I was sitting on it as it was not secured to the floor having merely been glued down with silicone. This could have been serious but I have a sense of humour and we were quickly transferred to another room.
The breakfast was probably the worst of our trip, rubbery “omelette”, bits of sausage on an unknown origin and Nescafe coffee.
Overall only worth 2 stars but should be 3 if things are improved. "
