Problem with refund for third night when family matters required us to leave. We made reservation through Expedia, The hotel desk said we had to change it through Expedia. Expedia said the hotel doesn't allow changes once a reservation starts and we need to talk to hotel. The woman at the desk said she would make a note in our file.

I have stayed at the Hilton Berkeley Marina about 10 times in the last 3-4 years. The entire place is looking a little worn out and has a musty smell especially in the public corridors. My biggest issue is the front desk. In order to get internet, you need to sign in with Hilton Honors which I have. I asked the front desk to associate my Hilton honors code which they never did in the 48 hours I was there. In addition, we asked for a tube of toothpaste. We were told it would be delivered to our room but it never arrived.

The furnace was very noisy! Mattress was not very comfortable and there are no fans in the bathroom. I thought it was a law in California that they were required. The rooms are just getting older. It’s a beautiful property and the staff are very nice, especially the cleaning staff!

Staff are awesome. Check in was incredibly busy but the staff got everyone cared for quickly. The rooms are spacious if a little dated but value for money and a billion dollar view.

I just wish you could find the valet without having to wait to ask front desk staff or dropping your keys off with them when you return. Othen than that, my stay was uneventful as always. The staff is kind and attentive. The food in the restaurant is good and so was the service. They are closed for lunch, which was a surprise.

Room had mildew smell and my bed had a dead bug in it and house keeping came and changed bedding, I was still uncomfortable and unable to sleep I checked out first thing in the morning

Check-in was easy, but parking is hideously expensive and our balcony was covered in bird feces. Our coffee maker was missing its brew basket, and the breakfast buffet wasn’t a buffet at all. You get $22 worth of credit at the restaurant, and the restaurant has the audacity to charge $22 for a breakfast sandwich.
