We stayed there in May for my wife's 40th birthday. We stayed for two nights and it was amazing. They don't specialize in breakfast and I realize it's not a Buffet but I have a big appetite in the morning. The hostess was very accommodating and brought extra french toast, fresh fruit and bacon until I was full. They even wrapped up breakfast in a To-Go container the second morning and my wife dropped it off at my work. We stayed the second time for our anniversary on Sept. 25th. Everything was wonderful accept the breakfast. Once again, I realize it's not a buffet but my wife can't eat egg yolks and they didn't offer any other options. I believe the guy who brought out the food (Antonio maybe) didn't seem too accommodating so I didn't want to ask for more breakfast. I ended up going to The Root cafe to get some pancakes to fill me up. We love almost everything about the Empress but the breakfast and service in the morning needs a little work. I spoke to Keith (property owner) on the phone and she's always very kind and helpful.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Empress. The property owner and on-site resident is Antonio and he checked us in. He was friendly and accomodating. I spoke to Keith over the phone who confirmed our reservation. Keith was very helpful and asked if we had any dietary restrictions. Ty was our server for breakfast each morning. Ty was very kind and helpful. The Empress is beautiful and has a rich history in Little Rock. We stayed in the Ernest Hemingway suite which I highly recommend. It is the most expensive but totally worth the price. The breakfast was delicious. We had waffles, fresh fruit, orange juice, bacon, and sausage. We will definitely be staying at the Empress again, very soon.

Very nice! We enjoyed everything about it. If you are an eclectic person and enjoy history and/or antiquity, this is the charm you are looking for. It is both well preserved and fully functional for a warming experience. I was given the impression that any remnants of past times that remained to observe seemed to enjoy my wife and I and the love we share for each other. A must have experience.
