It was clean enough and most of the staff were friendly and accommodating, but the pool and spa were broken down, our toilet ran all night, there was no hot water and the elevator didn't work. The beds were comfortable, though, and the Internet worked great.

Our room had a new shower and you could tell they are updating. Maids still need training about spots on the walls and cleaning the carpet in hallways and stairs.

I didn't like anything about the property. The first room I was given had dirty footprints on the wall, rolled up cough drop wrappers plugging holes in the wall. Cough drop wrappers spilled behind the crooked bed. Broken Lamp shade held on with white duct tape. The second room I was given had fresh paint on the walls, but the drain in the tub didn't work so we had to take showers in scummy water. The lamp shade broken again, lamps do not work, towel bar in bathroom crimped in the middle. The doors, buttons, walls and floors are dirty. This hotel is outdated , not maintained. And is actually obviously a party hotel, flop hotel , not someplace you you take your family to relax. The other 2 rooms I rented for my guests were dirty, my one guest said the showerhead let out nothing but a trickle . The other couple were afraid to sleep under the blankets because the sheets looked used.

Bathtub was dirty. When I started the water, black crud came out of the drain. Same thing happened to my son when he showered later. Only two towels for three people in the room. If you are going to cut corners due to COVID, at least do a complete cleaning and make sure guests have towels.

Just after checking we discovered that there was no hot water, both the bathroom sink and the tub/shower. Upon calling the front desk, the best I got was “I don’t know, I’m not a plumber”. I asked if there was anyone he could call, he said the hotel manager would not be back until 10am the next morning. He did offer that we could change rooms, but after a 9 hour drive we were tried and that wouldn’t work for us. I tried the shower again in the morning but there was still no hot water. This time I went to the front desk, this front clerk was more helpful and informed me that there had been problems with the water pipes on the second floor (?!?)...then why were we booked in that floor? He did provide us with access to another room in the third floor to use for showers. At checkout the hotel manager was back on site. Unfortunately he expected us to be totally happy with going to another room to use the showers, and since we booked this stay through Travelocity he could not provide us with any discount or comp because of that. I would like to have a full refund from Travelocity and have your company deal with them directly. Please contact me to discuss this and any options. My cell phone is 214-775-5082. I don’t plan to staying at a Baymont in the future.
