Great hotel, but what's with the smoking?

Pros: Room, lobby, breakfast
Cons: Smoking on non-smoking floor room carpet cleanliness
Location: A bit far from subway and main attractions, but since there on business, not a big problem
Loved it. Beautiful and very comfortable. Wonderful buffet breakfast. Only complaint was the smoking on the non-smoking floor. Smelled of fresh cigarette smoke getting off elevator, and also smelled in our room. Coming through air vent or from hall, not sure. Also room carpet could use a shampooing.
