Quiet Comfortable Cabin 5 Min. Walk to Swimming and Boating

Remember the simple pleasures of a country, lakeside vacation where you can spend the day swimming or boating, exploring the countryside, or just read the afternoon away on the screened-in porch? Get back to those simple pleasures in our cabin, located in a beautiful, quiet country setting in the heart of the Berkshire Mountains. The cabin is just a five minute walk to a lake where you can swim, fish (catch and release-permit required), kayak or canoe (boats, paddles and life jackets provided). Or spend the day exploring the many surrounding towns with antiques, restaurants and shopping galore; take a drive down a country road looking for roadside farm stands; go for a long walk in the woods; or explore the nearby rock quarry (the app AllTrails is a must have for this!). At night, have dinner at an outdoor restaurant, grill on the deck, relax with a glass of wine on the porch, roast marshmallows, do a puzzle, or enjoy your favorite streaming on our Roku TV with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and more. The house has one large main room with living and kitchen areas, and two small bedrooms.
The larger room has a queen bed with a comfy mattress and luxurious linens. The smaller bedroom has a full-size bed and narrow twin upper bunk (for children only). There is a cozy screened-in front porch with lounge furniture and fan, and a back deck with gas grill and seating for four. Between the natural setting and nearby cultural and outdoor attractions, you're sure to find plenty to do here to relax and have fun at a safe distance from others.

We got there and all the sheets and towels were still in a pile by the washer. No detergent for washing. Dirty dishes in the sink. No toilet paper in the bathroom. Rotting food in the fridge and the host didn’t reply to my messages. When I tried to call it wasn’t their number, just the Vrbo customer service line. They weren’t able to get ahold of them either so we had to just leave.

The cabin was well stocked and a welcome bottle of wine had been left. The bed in the main bedroom was extremely comfortable. However my friend said that the bed in the second bedroom was very hard and uncomfortable. It may be more appropriate for a family with kids.

This was a delight! The charming, rustic exterior belies the clean, modern interior. This tiny house had all the essentials and more. The decor was comfortable and smart looking. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped with all the necessities. Plates and flatware were all of one matching set rather than a mix-and-match of whatever was acquired from local yard sales. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. The surrounding neighborhood was wooded and peaceful. We hope to return for a long weekend sometime. This was a great way to end two weeks on the road!

Awesome hotel alterntive to launch off and enjoy all this area has to offer. Cabin was immaculate, well stocked and comfortable. Communication with owner and check in super easy. Located a little off the beaten path, very dark at night but nice to have houses sprinkled around this charming lake area. 20 minutes to several charming towns, dining and hiking trails/area attraction

Very cute cabin surrounded by trees. Great to be able to cook in your well equipped kitchen with the option to bbq outside if you wanted. Loved the evenings around the firepit. Enjoyed having the kitchen extras, loads of towels (for swimming too ) and the use of Bose speaker.

Lovely weekend stay

A friend and I stayed for the weekend to attend a Capullo retreat day. This location was 30 minutes from the facility and the perfect spot to spend a lovely weekend. It is minutes to the lake and a very private location. There’s a little stream running through the backyard With a lovely deck out back and a perfect screened in porch in the front. There is everything you need at the location, linens, all the kitchen equipment you need to cook, and the house is newly renovated and very well kept. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone that is looking for a house to spend time in a beautiful location in the woods. On our way out on Sunday we stopped and took a wonderful hike near a waterfall. It was absolutely beautiful. I do also want to put a kind word in for the owner of this property. They adjusted our schedule when we had made a mistake in booking and was so easy-going and lovely to work with. So, I definitely give this host five stars!

Nice Rural Retreat

The house was small, cozy and even had a small stream that ran through the backyard and under the deck. It had everything we needed. A bigger TV in the living room but definitely be a big upgrade but that isn't the end of the world. Would stay here again.

Modern cabin stay!

We loved our stay! The cabin appears to be recently renovated with modern appliances and furnishings. We got quite a bit of snow during our stay, and someone came to plow the driveway for us. A well-stocked kitchen was also helpful while we were snowed in! The cabin is close to Canterbury Farm, which we loved for cross country skiing, and close to Lee for restaurants and shopping. The host answered our questions quickly!
