Way way overpriced! There was an abandoned car in the parking lot covered by a tarp. Parking was too far away from the room. Exterior property is not well kept.

Hello, Thank you for choosing to stay with us. I am sorry you felt that way. Here at Best western point south cleanliness, service, room amenities, and comfort are our priorities. Someone left their car there and 2nd day we found out and got it towed away. At the same time during your stay leaves and pollen was so much of it even after cleaning the whole property with a leaf blower we have some of it. We certainly take pride in operating this property and maintaining it and at the same time providing our guests with an excellent experience. We have started hot continental breakfast from 6.30 am to 9.30 am. upon request room available with parking space right in front of the room, pet-friendly room, Indoor pool, etc. I request you to use our facilities upon your next visit and we as a whole team will try to exceed your expectation and make your stay comfortable and pleasant. Regards

Hospitality is their business

Pros: The People
Cons: The adjoined Denny's was not a good experience and I understand why they are no longer partnered with this establishment.
Location: The building looked to have been recently updated to more modern amenities, and was squeaky clean.
Recently on business in the area stayed two days and fell in love with simply every person that worked here. Everyone was more than pleasant, we really felt like this is what is meant by southern hospitality. To the staff that helped us, you were all so very pleasant and made our trip that much more a success. Thank you.

Very satisfied with cleanliness and amenities.

Pros: Easy on and off the highway.
Cons: Better water pressure to flush toilet.
Location: Only stayed over night.
Would stay here if we were in the area longer. Staff was friendly. Room comfortable.

sub par experience

Hotel staff was great! Room, not so much. The lights outside were so bright, the curtain couldn't even stop it from shining in. We were up until 3am because the lights were terribly bright. Also, even though I'd lock the door, deadbolt it. My one year old turned the know and the door came open no problem. It was terrifying to think that if he woke up in the middle of the night he could just leave!

Clean but remote

The room was clean and everything worked. But it is in the middle of nowhere, we couldn't even order a pizza. Good if you are passing through, but we stayed a few days and wished there was more nearby. And the Dennys there took FOREVER.

Overall the stay was fine for our purpose.

Pros: Quiet, indoor pool, ok for the money
Cons: no breakfast offered, tv did not work well, our room phone line did not work
Our stay was for one night while on a 10 hour drive with a toddler. We chose the hotel because of the price and it has an indoor heated pool. The pool is warm and very nice but it is not connected to the main building. It was cold leaving the pool building and running back to our room. Also the pool building does not have anywhere to change your clothes or a restroom. Overall it was fine for the reduced price.

Stayed for a week

First of all, this was advertised as being in Ridgeland, but in reality was ten miles north in Yemassee. This is a distance from everywhere; not a lot to do in Yemassee. We found a church and playground in the town, about five miles away. There are some nice back streets behind the motel, for jogging. The attached Denny's is convenient, and open all night. Otherwise, you have McDonalds and Wendys. Oh, and the Texaco station, which keeps a generous supply of Pepto Bismol- handy after dining at McDonalds and Wendys. The room was nice and big and clean. The maids did a good job daily. The grounds are well-maintained. I'd stay there again, but for a shorter time since there is so little to do. Well, the highlight of one day was driving to Ridgeland to get a haircut. Haircuts are very reasonable in Ridgeland.
