My husband, daughter & I liked the property location. The young man who greeted us was very pleasant. He took care of keeping the place very clean. He was very helpful in answering all of my questions & concerns. We rented a room which included refrigerator, full size bed & a twin rollout bed. The downfalls to the room was a leaky toilet and the full size bed was so stiff the springs were digging into my back. I tossed & turn to get comfy. The mattress & toilet should be replaced.

This hotel has a friendly staff, is in a lovely location and it was definitely clean. They also keep the air conditioning on high in the common areas, which was a pleasure to walk into from a day out in the heat. The bed is hard as a rock though, and is basically a cot thCheck in is from 8a-6p

The check in was difficult, we arrived after 6pm so we had to do check-in in another address, 30 min walking from where our hotel was. We didn't receive any advise or comment. They just give us a tiny map and let us go. I thought that was near but it is really far, so better use a taxi or metro.

This was a good value for money. It might seem out of the way if you are not familiar with Barcelona public transit, but it is actually only a 5 minute walk to line 6 or 7 metro and from there it's only another 5 minutes or so to Plaça Catalunya. The room is basic and small, which is all I needed; it was tidy and was kept nice and clean while I stayed there. The AC was much appreciated and easy to use. My main objection was this: I was told that if I arrived after 8 pm I would have to come downtown to get the keys. Because of passport and metro problems I was later than I thought; I advised that I was on my way, including just 5 minutes before I arrived, and got there exactly at 8 pm to find that the reception had already closed. I acknowledge that they did tell me it was this way, and that's fair enough, but it would have been a nice gesture after an exhausting airport marathon if they had stayed open just a few more minutes so I didn't have to take another hour to trek downtown with all my bags to get the key. That said, the people I dealt with were pleasant and and they kindly provided me with a USB adapter for my phone. Also, the outer door on my room was misaligned and stuck hard onto the floor, creating a gouge and making it very hard and noisy to open. However, besides these details I enjoyed my stay and was pleased with the value. I know that AirBNB is causing big problems for Barcelona residents so I was glad to be able to stay at a proper hotel at a good price.

Horrible stay

This hostal is in a regular residential neighborhood. Far from the metro. Boring area. The one guy is there from 8 to 5pm. The bed horrible. Their crappy breakfast, not worth it. Cold cuts, bread, coffee. No bananas. Mr. Khalid young kid with no customer skills, on his cell phone. He was the worst one. The others better. It also a bldg with regular residents. The third floor the hostal with 8 rooms. This should not b in Expedia.This hostal should b closed.

Never Again

We booked this hotel last minute because we missed a flight and were trying to stay near the hotel we were in previously (who no longer had availability). It looked okay from pictures, but was relatively far from the train stations (think lugging bags over cobblestone for over a mile), wreaked of air freshener, there was mold on the baseboards, my husband got bed bug bites all over, the shower didn't close completely, and the bed was horrifically uncomfortable. I felt like I paid for an hourly motel in a really bad neighborhood. I would never stay here again.

It was a nice stay

It was a very nice stay, hotel and room was very clean and staff is pleasant. We loved to take a good breakfast before going to our visits. Close to metro station we reach city center (catalunya) very fast. I will come again if needed.

It was lovely being in the North of Barcelona!

The hotel was clean, which is the most important thing. It was pretty basic but nice. The staff were lovely and cleaned the room everyday. It was in the perfect spot, not too far to walk to the centre but I preferred being in the north, it's much nicer! Would definitely recommend.

Very pleasant stay. Clean, comfortable room with private bathroom, excellent WiFi and tv. Excellent location near the metro and walkable to attractions such as park guell. Easy check in and check out. Excellent privacy.
