The lodge is very convenient to the waterfront where there lots of shopping and restaurant options. It is also close to the entrance to Acadia National Park. A hot breakfast is included each morning and no need to get dessert with your dinner because they have freshly baked, delicious cookies in the office area each night! The view from the room was great and the place is very quiet. We stayed there 2 years ago and we enjoyed it so definitely wanted yo stay there again when we decided to make another trip to Bar Harbour!

Easy check-in, very polite staff, older hotel, but well maintained with clean rooms and bathrooms, great views of the ocean from every room, each with private balcony, beautiful landscape, free shuttle to Bar Harbor every 30 minutes. The only bad thing was the small “steps” in doorways making it very hard to roll the luggage carts. We had to leave the cart by the elevator, unload luggage and carry everything to the room. Otherwise it was beautiful.
