Overpriced and underwhelming.

Unless your goal is to stay in a historic cottage -Way too expensive for the experience. Not enough parking, no one to offer help with luggage (though I got an email saying so before arriving). Bed was very good, I’ll give good mark for that. Worst was the mediocre breakfast only served 8-9:30 - I’m sure many will complain about how LONG they had to wait to be seated and fed. Never again, way better places to stay in town for way less $$.

This is a wonderful place to stay in bustling Bar Harbor. On a quiet street walking distance to harbor and local restaurants and shops. Phoebe was the consummate host. Thank you for a memorable stay.

We love Bass Cottage!

My husband and I stayed in the Mint room in Bass Cottage. It was amazing! Beautifully furnished, roomy and very comfortable. We loved sitting in the arm chairs in our room of an afternoon, drinking coffee and eating the delicious complimentary fresh baked goods from the kitchen. Breakfast was outstanding. A savoury and sweet option are offered each morning - we had both and shared. Portions are very generous and the food was absolutely delicious. Love the location too. Tucked in behind the main street in a super quiet location but so close to all the shops, eateries and tours. Staff are super friendly and helpful. On site parking is an added bonus. We travelled all the way from Australia and hope to stay here again one day
