This lovely inn is in a fabulous location. Hidden off the Main Street, yet an easy stroll to all the shops and restaurants. Our room was large and extremely comfortable. (The Thyme room in the cottage). Every morning we had a fabulous breakfast served in a beautiful room full of sunshine from all the windows. Our server, Phoebe, was a delight and very attentive. I would recommend this property if you are going to Bar Harbor.

A Perfect Stay in Bar Harbor!

We had an incredible 4-night stay at this very charming Victorian bed and breakfast in Bar Harbor. The location couldn’t be better—just steps from the ocean, downtown shopping, restaurants, bars and near Acadia National Park. It is perfect for leisurely walks and taking in the stunning coastal views. The hospitality was nothing short of exceptional, with Walker, the Inn Keeper, ensuring every guest felt at home and well cared for each day. Breakfast each morning was an absolute delight—wonderfully prepared, fresh, and incredibly delicious. Every afternoon, homemade cookies and decadent desserts were waiting for us, adding a warm and thoughtful touch to the experience. The house itself is beautifully decorated, filled with historic charm and character, providing a serene and cozy atmosphere that made our stay all the more memorable. If you’re looking for a place that combines impeccable service, mouthwatering food, and a gorgeous setting, this bed and breakfast is an absolute must!

Charming, beautiful, romantic, clean, great service, lovely bed and breakfast Service was excellent from the friendly staff from the moment we arrived. Two charming old buildings. Loved the coffee/tea and sweet treats in the afternoon. Stayed in the Ullikana building. The only downside was first night where another couple who got up at 5:45 and made a lot of noise, especially with their suitcases, without considering the other guests in the hotel. Center location of Bar Harbor so we could to walk everywhere. If we come back to Bar Habor again, we will definitely stay at Bass Cottage & Ullikana

We were warmly greeted as soon as we walked in. The inn was very nicely appointed and very clean. Our room was the same. Though the building was almost two hundred years old, the ambience was there, but not the normal creaks and cracks you normally expect were not. I noticed that even the window coverings were nicely chosen and installed perfectly. We were impressed. We will return next trip to Bar Harbor.
