In inclement weather the Motor Museum is a great place to visit. Exhibits include all manner of classic cars, bicycles, motorcycles, vintage shop memorabilia and a Donald Campbell Bluebird exhibition. There's a large cafe too and all are dog friendly.

Whitewater Bridge. This bridge is located near the Whitewater Hotel and Lakeland Holiday Village. The bridge crosses the River Leven. Several years ago is was common, during summertime, to see people jumping off the bridge into the river but for safety reasons a local bylaw now prevents this. This section of the river is also popular with Canoists'and the hotel allow them to use the river during certain days throughout the winter.
Backbarrow weirs In the background is the high and gnarly Backbarrow weir, which has been run in much higher water levels than seen here, at grade 5+. In the foreground is a much more runnable weir reached quickly after portaging the nasty weir on river left. In the low water level seen here, this is a bit of a bump down, but at higher levels develops a strong stopper river right, a tongue left of centre (to the visual right of the paddler seen here) and a hole on river left.
