The Charter at Beaver Creek was AMAZING!

One of the best trips I have ever taken. Every single person in Beaver Creek, from the hotel staff, to the lift personnel, to the bartenders were friendly and welcoming. The extremely close proximity to the village was wonderful and the ease of everything was so relaxing. This was one of my favorite vacations to date! I am already talking about booking at The Charter again next year!

I am always reluctant to post a “not so good” review because I think people are sometimes just picky, but with all the other places to stay in Beaver Creek we would not come back here. A fire alarm (I will say this much about the alarm, we couldn’t have sleep through it!) that lasted about 45 minutes starting around 8 pm was annoying but not as much as the 13 pieces furniture that lined the walls of room. I don’t think I have ever seen so much furniture in a hotel room. The lack of space made it feel like you were in a tiny room. By eliminating at least four pieces of unnecessary furniture, like the wooden rocking chair, the room would have been much more comfortable. When we arrived, we were told they were upgrading us since both the restaurant and bar were closed because it is a slow time of the year. I had reserved a room with two queen beds and a terrace. We got a king sized bed, which was fine, but no terrace. Unfortunately, a tree covered up our “nice room with a view of the mountain”. No view. No terrace. Same size room with keycards that didn’t initially work. The light above the vanity was extremely dim. However, on the positive side, this hotel is in a great location, the fireplace, hot tubs, and pools and was awesome, linens were nice and the staff was also very helpful and congenial.

Go to the Pines Lodge (A Rock Resort). Great Service and great quality with wonderful rooms, and awesome mountain views. Don't make a mistake at The Charter!

Great option close to the slopes and restaurants.

Pros: Nice staff, convenient location.
Cons: The layout of the hotel is almost like a maze. A good map is needed to navigate from building to building and figure out the best place to park.
Location: Great restaurants nearby. Easy access to ski slopes.
Easy check in/out. Convenient location. A few hundred yards down the hill to the elkhorn lift or a quick free bus ride up to the centennial lift. Walking distance to the restaurants between the charter and the hyatt hotel. Nice indoor and outdoor pool. Free parking. Plenty of space in the hotel rooms and 1-2 bedroom condos. Plus can link them together if you have a large family or groups. A good budget friendly option for families.

The Charter

THis was my 4th trip to The Charter at Beaver Creek. Need I say more? The Elkhorn lift is at the back door -- just ski down a small path and there it is. However, the bus service at Beaver Creek is so good that taking the bus from the front of The Charter and being deposied about 300 feet from a lift is also very convenient. As always, service at The Charter is excellent. The rooms are very nice and very clean. The Spa at is great fun. And the bar, which has the nicest fireplace that I have yet seen in Beaver Creek, has great views. One complaint. The resturant at The Chater is is mediocre. However, there are so many world class restuarants in Beaver Creek that that is not an issue. My wife and I intend to visit The Charter again next year. It is one of my favorite vacations spots around. It really does not get any better than The Charter if you like to ski.

The Charter at Beaver Creek

The hotel was fabulous except do not get a room on the front side of the hotel. I was awakened at 2am by the guy scraping the parking lot. I called to complain and he stopped but started up again at 6am!! Then the next morning it was 7am more reasonable but come on...2am? The massage was great! Christie is the best! The breakfast was too expensive. You only had the option of the cold or hot buffet. So we had to spend $30 to eat a bagel and fruit. Should have just eatten on the mountain. Otherwise, the videos' were free, they had a nice game room for kids. The hot tub was awesome and clean. Very nice place.!

Treated like royalty

This place is TOP NOTCH. I would never stay anyplace but here if you are planning to go to Beaver Creek. From the minute we got there we were treated like Rock Stars. Our room wasn't ready yet so they invited us to use the spa and we could leave our items in our vehicle afterwards and they would valet our car so we could ski, which we did. The guys at the ski shop in the hotel were FAB! They outfitted us in no time and we locked our stuff in a locker in the spa and we hopped on the shuttle and swooshed down the slopes until 4:00. We returned to the hotel via shuttle, our ski's were taken from us an locked up outside the hotel and we were offered hot chocolate. They brought our car to the garage so we could unload our items right to our room and the room was FANTASTIC, heated floors, complimentary wine, gorgeous view of the hot tubs and firepit blazing, comfy feather beds. We had happy hour in the Terrace restaurant and the bartender and servers were SO FRIENDLY. They shuttled us to a local spot for dinner and we fell so much in love with the place we stayed an EXTRA night. LOVED, LOVED this place. Had a tear in my eye when it was time to leave. We will be back next year FOR SURE and I CAN'T WAIT. I want to stay for a week next time. Stay here you will NOT be dissapointed.
