Attendant was more concerned with a fellow employee’s car issues than making the checkin process a good experience. Room assign was not the one that was shown on the picture during the booking process. Coffee pot in the room was defective, heated the water but didn’t brew any coffee. At night you could hear conversation outside the hotel. Honestly, the whole hotel needs a new facelift. La Quinta chain used to be a lot better. I would not stay in this place again, nor can I recommend it to anyone.

Where to start? The TV and elevator sometimes worked and we were on the fourth floor. The sheets - all of the sheets and pillow cases- were stained; one obviously a blood stain. The shower was a murder shower. It had only one setting and that was the jet spray of death. It was so painful we decided to use the bathtub faucet instead with a disposable cup. It was the worst La Quinta ever. It was so grungy everywhere like a permanent layer of filth that could not be removed and the staff maybe gave up trying. The elevator and the lobby smelled like pot and B.O. At first we thought it was a temporary thing like someone smelly walked by but no, we learned that it was a permanent thing that was there day and night. The breakfast was the only thing decent about the place. It was cold but they had a microwave.

Police activity second night of stay. The lady in the next room was screaming and crying all night and cops came in. We had bed bugs and cockroaches all over. Bath tub was nasty

Outside is really run down but the room was clean. Only needed it for a few hours so it wasn’t bad for a quick in and out trip. I wouldn’t stay longer. The rooms and entire property are definitely dated and had a weird smell. Staff was nice and accommodating. For the location, good bang for your buck.

Crackheads everywhere even in your “Free breakfast” Ask for a first floor room stairs smell like urine and sometimes there are puddles of urine.

This hotel while in a great location was very unclean. My room was dusty and super dirty . The bathroom door would open and close all the way and the shower/tub was peeling. The hallways and stairwells smelled awful. There’s more but I’m not sure how to describe it.

This is an old establishment but I think my room was maintained really well. Walking distance to great restaurants and bars. The staff was so friendly! The only con was that the elevator wasn’t working when I was there. Keep in mind that people are likely going to be there to enjoy the austin night life but I didn’t mind the noise. I felt safer to know it was a busy hotel.

The maintenance of the facility was deplorable. The elevators were out of service 1/2 the time we were there. The building needs renovation. The person doing valet made an offer to pay him less money than what is charged for parking if we "tipped" him for the days he was on shift. Late at night there were LOUD fights/arguments going on in the parking lot that lasted longer that we thought it should. The front desk didn't mitigate it.

I seldom leave negative feedback. I’m sorry to have to say something. The locks on the doors were nonfunctional. Roaches in the room. Vomit in the stairwell. The room was dirty. The staff was nice enough. I’m really disappointed in my stay. I’d recommend gutting the entire hotel and remodeling. This hotel has great potential, just needs a lot of work.

To receive this request for feedback is an added insult. We contacted Expedia after leaving this property early - we stayed one night of a three night stay - due to all the issues we previously highlighted i.e. filthy conditions, broken elevators, unsafe situation with homeless people using the stairwells as sleeping areas and toilets. I honestly cannot state strongly enough just how bad this place is. I expect Expedia to withdraw from offering this hotel immediately to protect its own reputation.

It was THE most run down hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The ac blew moldy air all night, the grounds were filthy, only 1 elevator was working and it should be listed as a motel-the doors to the rooms are on the exterior. Very disappointing for the price!

Misleading everything.
The pictures and listings are very misleading. The whole place is dirty inside and out. The few staff members I encountered were friendly, but that’s the best of it. The room had dirt in the corners, the bathroom handle was broken, as well as having what looked like blood splatters by the sink and door. You have to pay $36 a night for parking in the “hotel” parking garage. For $119, you can get better value at a nicer spot. I felt like I had to be armed there.

This is by far the worst hotel I lived in the USA. The stairs are odorous, the elevators don’t work often, staffs are not helpful, 36.00 parking for a day and the parking is also dirty and smelly, the key cards often don’t work and need to be changed multiple times, the bathroom doors can’t be locked from either inside or outside, the toilet flush is very weak, there was no trash bin in the bathroom, the breakfast is stale, the entire area is dilapidated, and yet the price is quite high. Not recommended at all, particularly if you are with your family. Never going to stay there again.
