This resort exceeds all expectations. It is truly like you are in the Caribbean at a 5 star resort, while you are really in central Texas. A half hour drive from the Austin Airport and you feel like you are in the islands without a passport. Activities galore, a super lazy river that seems to go on forever when you want it to and some of the friendliest staff I have ever met in the US. It is a bit pricey but well worth the cost. We will be going back soon!

Beautiful Resort

You pay up front and then most everything is included. You don't feel nickel and dimed which makes you enjoy the resort even more. Beautiful grounds and pool, great for whole family.

Beautiful weekend getaway!

It was our first time here, and we loved it! The staff was so friendly and everything was well taken care of. A couple things I would change is when checking in, I wish they would have recommended making reservations for meals. For breakfast on Mother's day, we had to go offsite to be able to eat. Also, the pool was dirty, and I wish somebody would have been walking around skimming the pool in the afternoons.

AWESOME!

Pros: Everything! The facility, the staff, the location and on and on.
Cons: If there was anything that need to be improved, we did not see it and cannot imagine what it would be.
Location: If you feel the need to visit places nearby, the small city of Bastrop has excellent small shops and Austin with it's offerings is nearby.
Our vehicle had barely stopped before the Lost Pines staff began making an impression on us. From the second our door was opened was the beginning of a fabulous experience. The only way I could say anything bad about our stay would be to fabricate something. Everything was just perfect. Even the weather cooperated for our stay. We have nothing but positives to pass along about the facility, the staff, etc. It is a fabulous facility and I personally cannot imagine anyone not enjoying themselves here. I can honestly say I do not recall a single employee without a smile on their face ever.

Rest and relaxation!

My daughter and I stayed three days and nights at the beautiful Lost Pines Resort. Situated by the Colorado River with pecan and pine trees and green well-maintained grounds, it was an oasis in a busy world! There were a few families but most schools had started so the lazy river and pool seemed made just for we few adults. The spa was private with a beautiful pool and indoor hot tub. I luxuriated in a massage that was therapeutic for my aching back. We enjoyed the delicious Mahi Tacos with peach salsa and shrimp and grits with green chili corn muffins. The staff was gracious and the prices were lower than the summer as it was the end of August. I highly recommend it for families as well. There are many activities for children including S'mores at the firepit!

Great place to find some rest

Pros: The woods
We had a wonderful time. Enjoyed the pool area and lazy river as well as the delightful and always cheerful staff. Cameron (at the pool) was particularly helpful. Beautiful gardens, lovely woods to walk in; it is a wonderful mid way for tender foots like me. You get the feeling of being out in nature, but with lots of amenities and comfort back in your room. Can't reiterate enough how great the staff are. The people make this place special.
