The unit we stayed in was really lovely and the proximity to family members we were visiting couldn't be beat. It's within easy walking distance to several area restaurants, bars and the beltline. I would not feel comfortable walking the area alone at night, but generally it's a good area. The unit was really great.Our issue, unfortunately, was with a host who didn't operate in good faith. They reached out several days before our stay to tell us the previous guest extended their stay and we would have to move. They would not, however, cancel our reservation meaning we struggled to get support from the VRBO Cares coverage. They told us our only options were to move locations (they offered options that did not meet our requirements) or to cancel our booking without a refund. Again, they did all this through the VRBO chat without ever actually cancelling our reservation, so our reservation still shows a unit we did not stay in. I personally found the adjacent unit available to book on Expedia and had to ask them about that. Ultimately, that's where we stayed. The whole thing caused a LOT of work on our end and I was significanly disappointed with how the host handled the situation. Incidentally, I did not see a single sign of someone staying in the original unit we tried to book (adjacent to where we stayed) for the entire time we were there. I would be very cautious dealing with this host.
