A decent stay

The room was clean. It was visible that the hotel is an older hotel. The balcony area needs some serious TLC. We would like to have sit out there but it didn’t seem clean or nice. Chairs were old. Staff were extra friendly. The upstairs dining area seemed slow and rarely did anyone complete courtesy checks. Both times we were ready to leave and it took an extended amount of time to receive our bill and for them to follow up to get it. It could’ve been the culture of the place. No one was in a hurry to do anything whatsoever. They were polite and the food was good. Elevators definitely need updating. Lobby area was really nice. The most disappointing factor was the TV not being a smart TV and channels were extremely limited. Don’t expect to relax in your room and have a movie night. There’s no Netflix or any streaming service available and the internet was extremely poor. Channels that were available did not have anything good on. Overall, it wasn’t bad. It was different. We did enjoy thinking and enjoyed the pumpkin festival. Am I glad we stayed? Yes but a few improvements can’t hurt.

The property is truly beautiful but some renovations are needed. The carpets in the rooms smell and look dirty. My mirror was cracked. The bathroom cleanliness was not great. Hair was everywhere, the toilet had used tissue in it and the shower had mildew stains. The bedding was comfortable and the linen was clean, but the pillows had a very strong musty and very stinky scent. I think the actual pillows should be washed. It made it really hard to sleep with that scent. I had to cover my pillow with one of the towels from the bathroom. I really like this place and would definitely stay again but I think the carpets should be replaced and some updating to the property is necessary especially with the term resort attached to the name.

I absolutely loved the nature part of it. As far as you look it’s so many beautiful God given canvases. The hotel has the perfect amount of amenities. But the icing on the cake for me was the lake, and greenery. I would definitely go back!

It was so-so stay, paid for a pool room- gave me a cheaper room, scammed me for the check in deposit for over $100. This was aggravating. Staff seem inexperienced.

a great place which is falling into disrepair

had been a function before we got there. check in was late, no food at restauarant until 630, bar not open, outside food/bar not open. this situation happens about 50% of time we stay there. charged $37 for a resot fee but no resort.

I absolutely hated my stay at this hotel. First, the location is a nightmare. The hotel sits inside a park that charges a $5 entry fee. That means rideshare drivers (Uber/Lyft) will not pick you up or deliver food because they would have to pay to enter. It’s not as simple as handing them $5—the park makes them pay at the gate, and in my case, they even threatened to call the cops on my Uber driver who was just trying to take me back to the airport. On top of that, the gates close at midnight, so you’re literally trapped inside after a certain time. The hotel itself is in terrible condition. Elevators are outdated with buttons falling off the walls, the pool was disgusting, and the bartender didn’t even know how to make basic drinks. The staff was hit or miss—some were nice, but others were extremely rude. The on-site restaurants were bland and tasteless. The only positive was that my room itself was nice. However, the balcony was dirty and clearly not maintained, which took away from the experience. This place is more of a headache than a getaway. Between being stranded without rideshare, the run-down facilities, and the terrible dining options, I would never recommend Atlanta Evergreen Lakeside Resort to anyone.
