This was a great little hotel. Everything is design forward with special care given to the details. The rooms are a bit small, but consistent with the norm in Europe. The room also has a big soaking tub which is awesome, but packed a "normal" shower. Again, pretty typical hand shower for Europe, but some Americans may want a traditional shower. The biggest thing to note though is that the toilet is only separated from the rest of the room by a curtain so you better be on good terms with anyone else in the room because you're going to get to know things about each other you may not have wanted to know. Despite some of these quirks though. I did love my stay there. So convenient to everything, incredible warm staff, and lovely design. Would recommend!

We loved everything about this hotel. And every single member of staff were amazing. Breakfast was delicious (and served beautifully) and the rooftop bar was such a treat. It’s also in a great location. Would recommend and definitely stay again if we’re lucky enough to find ourselves in Athens.

The breakfast is next level - practically gourmet and substantial. Location is fantastic. All the sites are in walking distance and there are loads of restaurants and bars and shops around. Very close to the metro if you use it as well. The room is spacious, bohemian and rustic. Like an art studio. Super comfortable bed, and you get lovely amenities in the room. There's an ipad you can use you easily communicate, watch shows, connect to the Marshall speakers and use their custom playlist. Bar the first night when they had a private event in the basement and it was like trying to sleep in the middle of a club ( I was on the first floor), Mona is perfect.

What a cool unique property. It’s in an old textile mill. They have kept many unique parts from the mill. Hotel has an amazing rooftop bar. You couldn’t ask for a better location for dining and nightlife. The hotel staff was so very helpful. Breakfast in the morning was awesome!

there was sewer smell in our room (which did get better each time we turned on air conditioner, but air conditioner automatically went off each time we left room) I told them about it when we checked out (only there 2 nights) and they apologized and said they would look into it but did no compensation. Rooftop bar and breakfast were very nice. They had a "wine tasting event" which just ended up being an outside wine rep who poured you about 10 drops of 2 different wines and wanted you to buy a glass or bottle directly from him.

Beautiful, Intimate, and Eclectic Stay

We truly enjoyed staying at Mona. My husband usually doesn't hold a strong opinion of hotels, but he stated multiple times how much he loved our room and how it was one of his favorite hotel rooms he's ever stayed in! Every concierge we interacted with was kind and helpful. They were quick to address any question we had through their efficient texting service. The attention to detail is unmatched, from the organic bedding and vintage decor to the natural wine that is offered and the music that they have playing as you enter your room that comes from your very own bluetooth speaker. The breakfast service that was included was wonderful and delicious! The one and only complaint we had is that the hotel is right next to a bar that remains open until 3am and because of the age of the building the windows are thin. If you do not have some kind of white noise going you can easily hear every noise coming from the bar as some of their customers stand or sit outside which kept us up our first night until we found a white noise app to play through the speaker at night. With the white noise playing we slept just fine. This one flaw did not at all change our opinion of the hotel. It is an exquisite hotel and the cost for our stay was incredibly reasonable given the quality of the hotel and its service. I would choose this hotel again over any other in Athens. You won't be disappointed.
