Perfect Location!

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Hill Arlington for five nights while we explored the many interesting attractions that Washington D.C. has to offer. The hotel was so very pleasant, the staff very helpful and friendly and our room was clean and comfortable and well taken care of by the housekeeping staff. The location of the hotel was perfect - only a couple of blocks to the Metro station and well within walking distance to some nice eating places. You feel only a little of the "hub-bub" of all of the D.C. activity, so it felt like being in a very nice neighborhood. We would chose this hotel again.!

Clean comfortable hotel.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, metro near by
Cons: Noisy, expensive restaurant
Nice comfortable room and good location with lots of restaurants close, the Metro not far away and seems to be a safe area. The restaurant is expensive and it took a long time to get the meal. The breakfast buffet is also very expensive. I ate there once and went to other better restaurants the rest of the time. There was a conference there the first 2 days of my stay and one night they partied on the patio under my window until past 2 AM, needless to say I didn't get much sleep. This was my second stay because I like the location and I probably would stay there again now that I know not to eat there. The desk personnel are very friendly and helpful.

Good location and value

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
Hotel is located close to subway station. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff very helpful. They offer door to door shuttle service on weekdays which we were thankful for because we went there during a heat wave. The breakfast was good but a little pricey as one would expect in Washington but there are other options around the hotel. There is a cinema across the street and a shopping district a mile away. I would return to this hotel.

Does not deserve the Hilton name.

Pros: Free Internet
Cons: Poor breakfast
Let me start by saying that I am a frequent business traveler and thus stay at many hotels.  As such I have a gold status with Hilton Hhonors and other hotel chains. Upon arrival our room was not ready and the front desk attendant told us the parking lot was also full due to a conference. Luckily we found one available space and were able to go out while our room was being prepared.  When we came back to check in the hotel staff, while nice and courteous, failed to provide us by information about the hotel including what is or is not included (such as breakfast). There were NO offers made to help with our luggage and the hotel attendant simply pointed down the hall towards the elevator. Upon arrival in the room our initial observations were mixed. The decor has been updated and refurbished but the room suffers from being old. For example, there are very low popcorn ceilings, and the old (and very loud) in-room a/c unit. When the a/c kicks on your cannot hear anything over its vibrating hum.  There is a newer TV in the room, but the picture quality is lousy and pixelated and there are no apparent options for ordering movies. The bathroom is a time-warping trip back to the 1980s. The is one giant and bright light that will burn out your retinas if you are not careful. The tub is too short to take an actual bath and the water barely reaches an acceptable level of hot. Oh, AMD when someone upstairs flushes the toilet it will wake you up! After spending a night in the room we endeavored to find breakfast the next morning. The breakfast is what you would expect from a low-rent establishment such as a travel lodge, but this is not up to the standards of a Hilton. There are some runny scrambled eggs a few pastries and some cereal, but nothing to write home about. People would be well advised to stop at the bakery around the corner.  All in all I would give this establishment 2.5 stars and advise people who have a general level of quality as an expectation to look elsewhere.  I had I known, I would not have stayed here - and would not stay here again

Comfortable and Affordable

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
The Hilton Garden is is probably the best bang for the buck in Arlington. A very comfortable room complimented by a friendly knowledgable staff. The hotel is within walking distance of the metro and near several restaurants. I will stay in this hotel again!

Best place to stay in DC area

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
Cons: parking fee $12 a day
The staff is friendly and helpful. The king bed rooms are large with comfortable adjustable beds and theromstat controlled air conditioners that are quiet and efficient. Metro station 1 block away.

The staff at this hotel was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
We reserved a block of rooms at this hotel for my daughter's wedding. The hotel staff went above and beyond to help us and our guests feel comfortable and to answer questions about the area. We had a suite and it was perfect for getting ready for the special occasion. Great job by all staff, especially the van driver!

Good location for the price

Pros: Close restaurants, great location
Cons: did not include a free breakfast
We struggled to find a hotel that was reasonably priced and located close to a metro station, and not too far away from the mall. After extensive online searches we settled on the Hilton Garden Inn Arlington. I would recommend this hotel and this area, as its fairly easy to drive to and the hotel has parking for a small fee. It was about 1 1/2 blocks from metro station and in a nice area with some good ethic restaurants and some places you can buy necessities. The hotel is very clean and updated, with a fridge and microwave in the room so we were able to buy breakfast foods and save a little money that way. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Its a fairly short metro ride to the mall (maybe 20-30 minutes depending on time of day) and two stops from Georgetown. Great location for the money, would definitely consider staying there again.

Very convenient location

The hotel was comfortable and very convenient location to DC and within walking distance of stores and restaurants. The breakfast buffet was not very good and not worth the cost.
