Great hotel, horrible beds

The hotel was nice, clean, and in a decent location! Just a 5-10 minute walk to the Old Town and Le Lac (the lake). The staff was always friendly and helpful. My only complaint were the beds and pillows. My partner and I both did not sleep well the entire stay due to how uncomfortable the bed was. We both experienced back and hip pain during our stay. The lack of sleep hindered our trip as we did not get up as early as we liked due to being tired. We don’t mind a firm bed, but this was another level. I have stayed at many Marriotts and have never experienced this level of discomfort. I recommend this hotel if you are young and/or can sleep anywhere. Otherwise, I would find a place with comfier beds.

The room was clean, staff were really helpful and polite. Food and drink prices were not too bad. Air conditioning was an issue, the hotel says it is air-conditioned,which is one of the main reasons I booked it, however what they do not say is that it does not get switched on till mid May. Unfortunately this led to 3 nights of bad sleep as it was hot.

Id say an average hotel for alot of money. It was about a 6 to 8 min walk to the train station. They had a water leak later that night and we had no hot water that really sucked. The the beds are pretty hard. The room for the toilet was pretty tight too get into.

This a wonderful property, with in walking distance of Annecy, the morning breakfast was very good. I would stay here again and we had fantastic time in the area.

Close to centre

Room was in excellent condition. We didn’t use the restaurant, it was close to the centre. Unfortunately we received an email the day before arrival informing us there was works going on which meant the car park wasn’t available, which was one of the reasons we booked this particular hotel. There was a car park 200 yards down the road that was cheaper to park in than the one they recommended.

Never stay here

Never stay here. Honestly, this is the worst hotel. It was under construction, and they did not warn us beforehand, and it smelled so badly. We complained to management, and they said sorry nothing they can do. If I could give it negatives stars I would 1 is too high. They were so rude and like take it or leave it. One receptionist even rolled her eyes at me. I can't believe how disrespectful they were. The shrugged shoulders and the blow off were so unappreciated. The area is amazing just never coming back to this shifty hotel. Also, the bad lighting in the room and basic TV only. The bathroom wad dirty too. Just an overall bad experience. 👎
