"My recent stay at Shangri-La Far Eastern, Taipei was an excellent overall experience. The front desk staff were highly professional, courteous, and efficient, making the check-in process smooth and welcoming. The hotel itself feels grand and luxurious, with refined design and attention to detail that reflect true international five-star standards. The room was particularly impressive—spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. One of the highlights was the panoramic view of Taipei 101, which was absolutely stunning both during the day and at night, adding a memorable touch to the stay. The only minor drawback was the breakfast restaurant, where the layout and flow felt somewhat disorganized during peak hours, slightly affecting the dining experience. However, this small issue did not take away from the overall quality of the stay. I would still highly recommend this hotel to anyone who values excellent service and a luxurious environment. It is definitely a place I would return to."

"the first room i was given was so small that if i was sitting on the foot of the bed my daughter had to climb over the bed to get to the other side The "windows"were covered with a material which made them impossible to see out of but that didn't matter as they were covered up and looked at a wall The worst part was the A/C this is from a western perspective but the a/c was set at 25 C which is about 78 F every night we woke up soaked in sweat. I contacted hotels .com and they got the hotel to offer a slightly bigger room but the a/c was still terrible. both showers had mold in them and the bigger room had a window which was again covered with material that made it opaque and if you opened it which was not a good idea as it was hot and humid outside the view was a wall I gave up and booked another hotel The staff tried to help and brought me a fan but it was still soooo hot and humid There was frequently no one at the front desk Overall this hotel i tired and not nearly as nice or spacious as it looked in pictures"

"Place was great. Just could not find laundry room. Besides that everything was great and I would highly recommend this place. Lunch at restaurant was delicious and beautifully plated. Front desk helped us with any questions. Loved the fact that I could exchange money at front desk too. "
