"Loved the view and the size of the room. Huge. Beautiful hardwood floors which is rare for hotels these days. Bathroom was spacious. The hotel is not very private. MGH Mitsui Garden Hotel Taipei Zhongxiao
"June in Taipei this year was rainy, with occasional torrential downpours, which I found difficult to adjust to. Accustomed to California’s dry weather, Taipei’s humid and hot conditions were a real Challenge. Surprisingly the front desk provided me with a dehumidifier until I left. This thoughtful ..."

The Grand Hotel
"Loved the view and the size of the room. Huge. Beautiful hardwood floors which is rare for hotels these days. Bathroom was spacious. The hotel is not very private. Every day during lunch and dinner, huge crowds gather in the lobby for the hotel restaurants. As a guest, you may have a difficult time booking a table. The service is not very warm throughput the hotel. You will have better service in other Taipei hotels. If you want to swim, you need to walk down the hill in the heat or wait for the shuttle to take you to the country club next door. The pool was huge. Olympic sized. Enjoyed the buffet. Lots of good choices. Relatively expensive for Taiwan but reasonable compared to comparable places in the US. It’s a good hotel, don’t get me wrong. It is beautiful and indeee a grand hotel."
